When Disney released Peter Pan in 1953 Tinkerbell the fairy played a small but important part in the story. More than fifty years later, in 2008, Disney decided it was time to put Tinkerbell in the spot light and created a computer animated film inviting you to enter her world and meet her friends using 3D modeling technology to produce spectacular film experience. Originally Tinkerbell did not have a speaking part but now she has found her voice with the aid of Mae Whitman, who was lucky enough to land the roles of the president's daughter in Independence Day, George Clooney's daughter in One Fine Day and Sandra Bullocks daughter in Hope Floats all of which must have been a fantastic learning experience as a young actress. Tinkerbell was born from the first laugh of a baby. She is a feisty fairy who loves to fix things and gets a little cross when she can't solve a problem. Although she is short tempered and often acts according to her emotions she will persevere and get things done. Tinkerbell's vibrant green costume provides fantastic inspiration for you if you are creating a fairy themed bedroom for your child and there are plenty of Disney Fairies products for accessorise the room with. Disney certainly know how to put on a show, after all they hit the big time in 1937 with Snow White so they've had chance to learn a thing or two. These days it's not just about releasing a film, there is a huge selection of merchandise available starring our favourite Tinkerbell, and you can visit the Disney Fairies web site for games, craft ideas and information. |
