Little girls love dressing up as fairies and immersing themselves in a world of make believe. If you are looking for an idea to create a themed bedroom then fairies are a perfect choice and give you plenty of inspiration to put together a thoroughly girlie sanctuary. 100% cotton fairy bedding is pure luxury and premium quality but takes a little longer to launder as it will need a good iron. If you simply don't have the time to spend at the ironing board then go for easy care poly cotton which is a polyester and cotton mix, usually around 50% of each, and washes well. If you pop the fairy duvet cover and pillowcase in the tumble drier, take them out and shake them and then hang them over your clothes airer the ironing will be a breeze, you might even get away without ironing them at all.
These days it is possible to get your fairy bedding washed, dried, ironed, aired and back on your child's bed in one day but it's still worth while having a back up duvet cover and pillowcase as children can often present you with unexpected surprises like spilling their drink just before they go to bed or being poorly. If your budget allows, or you have chosen a reasonably priced brand, then buy two matching sets however if you have bought an expensive brand then buy a cheaper second set in a plain colour that tones in. Before you buy work out how much you can afford to spend and set yourself a budget, it's easy to get carried away once you start looking at all the lovely fairy bedding and fairy bedroom accessories on the market. If you can't afford to kit out the whole room then choose a few key pieces, for example fairy bedding and curtains, and then pick out an accent colour and buy cushions, a lamp shade and accessories based on that. |
